Jessica, a middle-aged novelist with a failing marriage, is gifted a new, rambunctious Shiba Inu puppy from her daughter to help alleviate her work obsession and lack of companionship. When Jessica’s puppy finds a dead body in the local dog park, she teams up with a group of outcasts to solve the murder.
